Oh, my pretties. How I have missed ye! It's been over a month since the layoff at my former day job. I'm still adjusting to all the ins and outs of working at home. But it has actuallt been an awesomely incredible experience so far.
Here is how a basic day works for me:
-Get up around 6 or 7. If I don't have to teach or if I'm not going out somewhere, I lazily stay in my jammies and luxuriate in my laziness. Haha
-Drop the kiddies off at school. Then it's time to work. I usually do editorial stuff in the morning to help warm up my brain. I also consume possibly lethal amounts of caffeine.
-Lunchy time!! I also do some research, be it reading or watching a movie that sets the tone for my writing. And if I have time I squeeze in a nap. Aaaaaaaaah.
-Time to get my Hemingway on. Okay, not quite, but I do get into a good writing groove.
-Pick up the children from school and then back to work! After I finish writing I turn my attention to class stuff to prep for teaching. Hang with kids, do dinner and nag them into doing dishes.
-Teach the youth of today and warp them into the crazies of tomorrow. Most of them don't dig English so I try to make it entertaining. Or at least end class early. Haha
-Come home and wind down. By now it's somewhere around 8:30 or 10:00 pm depending on the day. So I read or watch a movie. And end up staying awake later than I should.
Right now I am working on two stories: a teen guy one, and a kick-ass thriller featuring a slightly crazy woman. Have I mentioned how much I love my job? :-)
I promise to post more. But until then, keep it off the streets!

You're probably busier now than when you had a full time job!
You are my idol. And I heart your shoes.
